Prof. Olivier Arifon, French citizen living in Brussels, delivers lectures on the dimensions of influence – soft power, lobbying and disinformation – at the Université Catholique de Lille in France. As a visiting professor or trainer, he delivers these topics at universities and institutional bodies in France, Germany, China, Brazil, Romania, India, the UN, Kazakhstan and Bhutan, among others. He conducts research at SicLab at the University of the Côte d'Azur, focusing on public diplomacy, image and perceptions, with case studies on Asian countries. He is the author of numerous articles in French and English on public communication, as well as two books: Le Récit politique chinois: soft power, communication, influence (Paris: L’Harmattan, 2021) and La Diplomatie par le récit: les nouveaux soft powers en Asie (Paris: Éditions du Cygne, 2024).
