About

Accomplished scholar and Associate Professor of International Security with a strong background in international relations, geopolitics, public policy, and emerging tech governance. My work is situated at the intersection of international security, geopolitics, and emerging technologies, with a focus on explaining, analyzing, and providing solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges, within the context of great power competition. The rise of the Indo-Pacific as a geography of strategies, and the engagement of its proponents with Central Asia, East Africa, and the Middle East as hedging middles act as a major source of case studies for my research. My forthcoming contribution to the literature on Central Asia is a Special Section in International Affairs on Central Asia and the Indo-Pacific.
