About
My current research explores the multi-scalar articulations of geopolitics and logistics across the Caspian Sea. In my PhD, I take an ethnographic look at logistics/transportation infrastructure in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and at the elites and experts who work to produce and legitimize them in order to understand how logistical practices, informed by geopolitical, developmental or authoritarian logics are transforming Caspian and trans-Caspian spaces. My two sites of study are the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (also known as Middle Corridor).
