I am conducting independent research and writing a book on Central Asia-ASEAN relations, examining the dynamics of greater engagement through the Russian-led EAEU, China's Belt and Road Initiative and Central Asia's increasing concerns regarding China's expanding influence. I also examine ASEAN as a possible model for Central Asian regionalism.
