In my research, I work on the new geopolitics of higher education and the effects of globalization on education policy. I research a range of global settings and have regional expertise in the study of Central Asia and the former Soviet space. I am fluent in Russian. My PhD (University of Toronto, 2020) is about how and why change happens in higher education, with a focus on Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
