My work assesses China’s security interests in Central Asia and the growth of Chinese military contractors and surveillance companies in the region. More broadly, my research focusses on borderlands and the ways in which the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region influences Chinese foreign policy-making in Eurasia.
