The Silk Road can be said to be the earliest link between Asia and Europe, and relations at the time of the opening of the Silk Road were mutually beneficial. In March 1996, the first Asia-Europe Summit was held in Bangkok, Thailand, marking the establishment of a new type of partnership between the regions, and finally made the original Asia-Europe trade union marked by the Silk Road.
