“A Study on Ethnic Conflict and Countermeasure: A Case Study of the Ethnic Conflict in Southern Kyrgyzstan” is based on six internationally recognized investigation reports. Taking the ethnic conflict in southern Kyrgyzstan in June 2010 as a research case, this book focuses on the occurrence, mobilization, escalation, intensification, and resolution of ethnic conflicts from the micro-level, and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the prevention and control of group public safety emergencies involving ethnic factors from the perspective of maintaining national security. This book comprehensively uses quantitative research methods such as Delphi method, hierarchical scoring method, and dimensionless quantification to evaluate ethnic relations and tries to establish an early warning model of ethnic relations. Its research on “ethnic conflicts” directly addresses the problem and traces the roots, analyzes the various processes of the “life cycle of ethnic conflicts”, and is useful for country and regional research, “the Belt and Road Initiative” research, and research on related issues such as ethnology, sociology, and Marxist ethnic theory and policy.
