This book examines modern logistics and assesses the extent to which it feeds into region-building. The approach attempts to reach beyond logistics and into the material aspects of border crossings and the ways in which they play into cultural, symbolic, legal, and political processes that result in a “pooling” of sovereignties in Eurasia.
