Children of Post-Soviet Transnationalism Integration Potential of Labour Migrants from Central Asia in Russia

This book is devoted to the question of incorporation of labour migrants from three migrant-sending countries of Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, in Russia. The author concludes that even in the context of a pervasively hostile receiving environment, labour migrants develop different propensities towards social integration into the host society, including an assimilative attitude, shaped by individual migration motivations, backgrounds and fears.
