About Me:
Education & Training
I specialize in the study of state building, authoritarianism, and political violence across Eurasia, with a particular focus on Central Asia. Much of my research has examined the effects of informal economies on state and regime, but I have also examined questions of international security across Eurasia, such as how drug trafficking, organized crime networks, and corruption have led to intra-state conflict and political violence in various countries across the region.
