 Description:

In recent years, the Eurasian Economic Union has developed rapidly, not only yielding considerable economic achievements, but it has also demonstrated its role in world economy. However, the development of Eurasian integration has also been confronted with many difficulties, one of which is the ineffectiveness of the supranational institutions of the Eurasian Economic Union. This problem prevents the union from exerting its full potential in interal economic development and international issues outside the region. Fearing that their own national sovereignty will be restricted, the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union have not shown political enthusiasm to further promote the integration of the union, which is vital to shape a comfortable economic atmosphere that benefits all the participants. In the future, the success of Eurasian integration will depend on whether the participating countries are willing to give more power to the supranational structure of the union. Correspondingly, participants in the Eurasian Union will also gain the opportunity of economic and technological development, which allows them to create a “safety mat” during economic turmoil.
