“Research on the Social Organization of Turkic Nationalities” combines anthropology and history, using conflict theory, symbol theory, cultural integration and social control theory to study the family organization and social control of Turkic nationalities active in China in ancient and modern times. A comprehensive comparative study was conducted on clan organizations, tribal organizations, tribal alliances, and khanates, discussing the social organization system of the Turkic ethnic groups and their related marriage systems, power structures, social control, the origin of the khanate, and forms of political power. The author believes that the formation process of the Turkic ethnic khanates not only has something in common with most ethnic groups in the world, but also has its own characteristics. When the khanate was founded, Turkic ethnic groups did not form a typical class society, and there were no fierce class contradictions and conflicts. The establishment of the Turkic ethnic khanates was the result of fierce conflicts between the ruling nation and the ruled nation and between different tribes, rather than the result of class and class differentiation.This book is rich in new information.
