Kyrgyzstan is China’s western neighbor and borders the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Kyrgyzstan is located in mountainous areas, with numerous rivers and lakes, and abundant natural resources. Hydropower is an important export resource. Kyrgyzstan shares more than 1,100 kilometers of common border with our country. As early as more than 2,000 years ago, the world-famous “Silk Road” closely linked our two peoples. In the past decade or so, the exchanges between the two countries have become more frequent, and the cooperation in many fields has achieved fruitful results.
