This book is an in-depth and systematic exposition of the historical development process of the five contemporary Central Asian countries, namely Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The book is divided into four chapters: ancient (before the early 15th century), modern times (15th-early 20th century), the Soviet period, and after the independence of the five Central Asian countries.
